#Exclusive: How Ed Westwick And Amy Jackson’s Dream Wedding In Italy Came To Life

Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson first tied the knot in a small civil ceremony at The Connaught Hotel in London on August 9, 2024. The Gossip Girl alum and Supergirl actress then said “I Do” for a second time in an ethereal destination wedding in Italy. The intimate yet lavish three-day affair saw 220 guests, who travelled from the U.S., India and various parts of Europe, to celebrate the happy couple on the Amalfi Coast.

The three-day extravaganza was meticulously planned by Costanza Giaconi, a Florence-based wedding planner and the Founder, Director and Partner for European operations at Resh & Co. and Bianco Bouquet – Destination Wedding Planner. “Our Amalfi Coast wedding was everything we dreamed of and more. I’m so grateful to Costanza and her incredible team at Bianco Bouquet. From the very first call, I knew they were the perfect fit. They understood our vision perfectly,” reveals Amy in an exclusive chat with us.

The festivities were “a blend of fairytale romance and family-focused fun. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Costanza handled every detail with such grace and professionalism, allowing us to fully enjoy the planning process. Her attention to detail was impeccable, and she made sure that every aspect of our wedding reflected our unique vision. I can’t imagine planning our wedding without them. It was the perfect start to our forever. It’s a memory I’ll cherish forever,” Amy adds.

Ed and Amy’s wedding vision

“Ed and Amy’s wedding came about through a serendipitous connection,” shares Costanza. The wedding planning began with approximately six months to go. The couple desired a celebration that was both “elegant and intimate, reflecting their love for Italy. Their brief was to create a magical experience that seamlessly blended classic Italian charm with contemporary flair,” And magical it was; right from the boat party to culture-infused brunch.

Costanza brought Ed and Amy’s vision to life by infusing their personal style and preferences into every aspect of the wedding. “We incorporated elements that were meaningful to them, such as their love for Italy and their shared passions. They shared their stories and tastes with us, which allowed us to incorporate meaningful elements into the wedding. Our USP lies in our ability to create bespoke, unforgettable events that are tailored to each couple’s unique vision. We specialise in crafting elegant and sophisticated celebrations that are both visually stunning and emotionally resonant,” the expert says. “The whole process felt like a true collaboration, and the result was nothing short of magical. They envisioned a destination wedding that would leave a lasting impression on their guests and it surely did.”

The cruise party

A glamorous welcome party on a gorgeous cruise aboard the Motonave Patrizia kicked off the celebrations. The party was held in Paestum, a picturesque village nestled on the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea and culminated in a stunning sunset over the Faraglioni. It was a great start for the guests to break the ice and spend quality time with the couple, over great music, food and cocktails. “The team worked tirelessly to create a welcoming ambience and ensure that guests felt comfortable and relaxed.”

The wedding

Castello di Rocca Cilento, a 16th-century castle nestled in the hills of southern Italy, was chosen as the backdrop for the ceremony. “Finding the stunning Rocca Cilento Castle was a dream come true. It was the perfect setting for our magical day,” Amy adds. The wedding day on August 24, 2024 turned out to be a mix between a fairy-tale and a family weekend, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Italy. The theme and style were a natural extension of Amy and Ed’s personalities—think Amy’s love for classic elegance and Ed’s appreciation for natural beauty.

“Both, Ed and Amy were super involved in every detail. Amy had a clear vision from the start: She wanted an all-white palette,” reveals Costanza, who elevated their special occasion with special touches. “The trees at the ceremony represented their home and their love story. The tree is very significant for their life together; Amy personally sent us the texts to use for the invitations and the welcome letters for guests.” The pergola was covered with a mix of white flowers such as wisteria and roses, combined with candles that alternated between tall centrepieces and low arrangements.

Amy walked down the flower-laden aisle in a white Alberta Ferretti wedding dress, while Ed waited for his bride in a Giorgio Armani suit. The sunset ceremony was intimate and emotional. One of the highlights was the parade around the castle walls featuring local flag bearers.

The reception

A tunnel filled with chandeliers, lights and plants served as the entrance for the dreamy reception after the ceremony. “Amy wished for a personalised dinner lit entirely by candlelight. Among the many elements that reflected them was personalised fragrance that Amy and Ed handpicked. This was made especially for them to use in candles displayed on the reception tables,” shares Costanza.

There was food for all palates paired with bespoke cocktails, chosen by the couple. The dinner was interspersed with performances by musicians and dancers, with the wedding cake crafted by the renowned chef Damiano Carrara.

The Italian brunch

After the festivities until the wee hours, the third day was thoughtfully planned for guests to unwind and relax. In the historic Vietri Sul Mare, a beach club was recreated at the gardens in Giardini del Fuenti for an Arrivederci brunch. The unforgettable celebration was a coming together of their roots and Italian influences. Family and friends gathered on a sit-down table, surrounded by lemon trees.

The bread-themed tablescape was decked up with flowers, lemons and mongrammed linens. Chef Ciro Oliva of the famous Naples pizzeria Concettina ai Tre Santi prepared an assortment of pizzas and other local fare. The club’s pool area was decked out with “Westwick wedding” floats, and a group of performers strolled the gardens and sang, danced and played musical instruments. The couple bid farewell to their guests in the most authentic Italian spirit.
