Ahead, the makeup pro gives a breakdown of the unique looks, but she goes on to add that regardless of the silhouette or its shades, “ensure that your makeup complements your entire look harmoniously. If your wedding outfit is intricate or bold, opt for a makeup style that balances and enhances rather than competes with it. For example, if you have a richly detailed dress, consider a more subtle makeup look to avoid overwhelming the overall appearance. Conversely, if your outfit is simpler, you might choose a bolder makeup look to create a striking contrast.”

To create stunning makeup to match with this exquisite Harkiran Basra look, Kashni’s starting point was to evoke the timeless elegance and purity of traditional Indian beauty with a modern, minimalist twist. She began with a clean and flawless base, emphasising the natural beauty of the skin without heavy layers or visible foundation. “I intentionally avoided strong highlights, arched eyebrows, and overdrawn lips to maintain a sense of understated refinement. Instead, the focus was on matte eyes to provide a soft, neutral canvas, allowing the eyes to convey a calm and serene expression,” Kashni shares. The lips are enhanced with a delicate pink lip shade to harmonise with the overall simplicity of the makeup, creating a balanced and timeless appearance.
Personal touch
For this look, Kashni was inspired by her personal journey. She tapped into it to create ethereal makeup that reflects a bride’s transition into her new life. “I embraced the bride’s arrival in England and her subtle adaptation to her new surroundings, while still celebrating her Indian roots.” The setting of a charming picnic, complete with a tray of mangoes, evokes a sense of nostalgia and warmth, bridging her past and present. “This look reflects a blend of traditional and contemporary aesthetics.” The skin is adorned with soft highlights to introduce a subtle glow, symbolising a new chapter of her life. To tie the makeup together with the purple and pink Lajwanti suit, Kashni turned to a warm mauve colour for the lips. “The eyes are opened up with a touch of nude kohl in the waterline, creating a brighter and engaging appearance that reflects her fresh start in England.”

Kashni reinstates the unwavering allure of a golden bridal outfit balanced with a pared-down look that underscores modern elegance. “We created a look reflects a seamless blend of timeless elegance and contemporary refinement, celebrating the bride’s journey with a touch of understated glamour. The makeup features a soft eyeliner that gently outlines the eyes, adding subtle definition without being overpowering. The peachy-brown lips add a fresh, warm tone that complements the overall look with a hint of modern charm. By eliminating kohl-rimmed eyes, the makeup achieves a cleaner, more polished appearance,” she adds.
