8 Real Brides Who Wore Maala London Jewellery That Feel Like Modern Heirlooms

In the world of bridal jewellery, where personal expression matters as much as heritage, Maala London stands out for creating pieces that feel as unique as the brides who wear them. The London-based label specialises in exquisite semi-precious jewellery that blends traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary sensibility. Each design reflects timeless aesthetics, meticulous artistry and highest quality materials, all brought together to create pieces of depth and distinction. From ornate necklaces and earrings, to matha pattis and rings, Maala London boasts a plethora of wedding, festive and ready-to-wear jewellery.

“The brides I usually work with are high-end ones, who wear Sabyasachi, Tarun Tahiliani and Manish Malhotra. So, they are looking for befitting pieces that look stunning and are of the highest quality,” says founder and chief designer Kindo. Known for her hands-on approach, she adds, “It’s all bespoke bridal jewellery. You’ll see stone work with meenakari and kundan. That’s what we specialise in, mixing elements and making it look different.” Beyond craftsmanship, Kindo also offers personalised styling sessions, guiding brides through design, colour and silhouette to ensure each piece complements their vision perfectly. “When it comes to customisation, we can go all out. Whether it’s a design from scratch or changing colours, we personalizs basis the tastes of our brides.”

Ahead, we pull out some of the most stunning looks we spotted on real brides and how they styled them.

Maala London bride, Chanel’s wedding look by Bibi London is a masterclass in layering. It is paired with a statement choker with a gulband-style necklace for regal depth. The gulband draws inspiration from the curved silhouette of chandbali earrings, echoed beautifully in its ornate pendants. The same motif is mirrored in the maang tikka, creating a cohesive accessory story. Finished with classic jhumkas, the look perfectly frames the bride’s neckline and face.

Chhavi Verg Kooner, luxury travel host and former Miss NJ USA, was the picture of a classic Sikh bride. Dressed in a mirrored, hand detailed embroidered sharara by Deesh London, she embraced tradition with precision. Her jewellery was thoughtfully layered, beginning with a choker, followed by a gulband necklace and a rani haar finished with a chandbali pendant. The same pendant motif was echoed in her maang tikka, while an ornate passa, delicate nath and understated stud earrings completed the look.

Bride Harpreet chose a classic red lehenga but leaned into the power of contrast with her jewellery. Her necklace beautifully blends geometric and floral influences, creating a striking balance of structure and softness. Crafted in kundan and meenakari, it is finished with delicate green semi-precious stone drops that add a refreshing pop against the red. The result feels traditional yet distinctive, proving that thoughtful contrasts can elevate a timeless bridal palette.

Wearing a striking gold and red lehenga by Sequinze London, this Maala London bride embraced coordinated glamour. The intricate crystal work on her ensemble is beautifully mirrored in the kundan detailing of her jewellery, creating a cohesive bridal statement. Her bold necklace, layered with luminous pearls, takes centre stage as the hero piece. She balances the drama with delicate stud earrings and a refined maang tikka.

For brides who embrace maximalism with confidence, take inspiration from Amrita Bisla. She paired her Roop’s Couture pistachio and pink lehenga with unapologetically OTT pieces from Maala London. What she arrived was a look rich in texture and detail. A statement choker anchors the neckline, layered with a multi-layered necklace for drama. She completes the ensemble with a maang tikka, ornate passa, classic jhumkas and stacked kadas.

Bride Simran leans into a heritage-forward aesthetic, pairing her richly embroidered Rimple & Harpreet ensemble bridal lehenga with a layered jewellery look. A structured choker sits high on the neckline, giving way to a bold, kundan necklace with multi-shaped stones that plays with scale and geometry. The mix of medallion motifs and reflective stones creates dimension. Finished with traditional jhumkas and stacked bangles, the look channels old-world North Indian grandeur.

Could this bride have stepped straight out of a period film set, channelling the old world glamour of Mughal-e-Azam? The look evokes the timeless elegance of Madhubala, steeped in cinematic nostalgia. Her ornate passa is the focal point, with multiple rows of seed pearls strung with kundan pendant strands and interspersed with green accents. The necklace mirrors this grandeur in an OTT interpretation, layered with kundan and meenakari work that looks richly theatrical.

This reception look leans into polished evening glamour with a strong focus on statement diamonds. The multi-layered necklace, set with vivid red stones, draws on Art Deco influences through its structured lines and geometric repetition. Paired with matching earrings, it delivers impact without overwhelming the bride’s gilded lehenga. The piece works beautifully for the wedding celebrations and can just as easily be styled later with a black cocktail gown.
