Like a full moon in all its glory against twinkling stars, a pristine lehenga emits luminescence. Upon closer look, you realise the masterpiece is embedded with thousands and thousands of pearls. Certified by top jewellers and verified by Coco Chanel and Carrie Bradshaw, the lustrous beauty of this gemstone is associated with the moon, while its milky, celestial colour with moon’s purity and power. Wearing pearls is also believed to bring the wearer serenity and energy, and which bride doesn’t want that on her big day. This is the very spirit that Gaurav Gupta captures with his latest 2025 couture collection, The Vow—the classy, classic and utterly celestial versatility of pearls.

The Vow is a transcendental bridal couture collection, where incandescent pearls evoke purity, hand-embroidered crystals shimmer like sacred fire, and his indelible sculptural elegance reimagine the rituals of Indian bridal wear. Every piece is a mood, a marriage of heritage and innovation, and a modern heirloom crafted for different celebrations, emotions, and the bride who wants her wedding outfit to be artistry in motion. “The Indian bride is evolving—she’s global, discerning, and deeply connected to her cultural roots. With The Vow, we imagined her as an otherworldly vision—someone who carries tradition not as a weight, but as wings. She’s timeless, but never traditional in the expected sense,” shares Gaurav Gupta in an exclusive with Khush.
The mood and masterpieces

The mood is otherworldly, but what about the clothes? The outing runs the gamut of the flawless palette, striking the balance between serene, striking and strong. It borrows from the couturier’s futuristic vision and love for the avant-garde aesthetics to relay the story of the new age bride. With every lehenga, sari-gown, gown and sari, Gaurav brings to the fore his signature tropes—sculptural lines, dramatic flares, motion of fabrics, 3D embroideries, volume play and extempore draping. His ensembles merge Indian construction and embellishing techniques to bring an Indo-European construction and edge to clothing. You’ll find ballgown-esque lehengas paired with sensual halter-neck blouses, flared skirts with bralettes and capes, and mermaid skirts with corsets.

Not limited to pieces for the bride, The Vow is also replete with offerings for the groom and her tribe. There’s ethereal pre-draped saris with blouses featuring boning details, pant suits, draped gowns, and more. For the modern groom, Gaurav impresses with deconstructed sherwanis, jackets, bandhgalas and sets. But, for the progressive couturier, these aren’t just clothes: each an experience, one that works best in an inspired setting.
