Want Your Wedding To Go Viral On Social Media? Hand Over The Reins To Amanii Photography

It takes a village to plan that dream wedding. The army of experts. The hours spent on planning. The multiple shopping sprees. The chaos behind curation of the menu. The array of design renders. The planning process is endless, but totally worth it when it comes to life. Every wedding aspect, from the outfit to the décor, then becomes a unique story of the couple. So, long after the celebrations are over, it’s the photographs that become keepsakes to relive the beautiful memories over and over again. This is where Amani Ali behind Amanii Photography comes in.

With a combination of instinct and artistic talent, Amani is known for creating tangible mementoes that couples will not only cherish for a lifetime but become pieces of art. “I absolutely adore weddings, celebrating the love of two people connecting, families and friendships. It’s beautiful and an honour to be part of it,” shares renowned wedding photographer Amani Ali.

The cinematic style

Amani’s stellar work aims to tell beautiful, complex love stories, photographically. Embracing light and depth, Amani captures images that are as artistic as they are appealing. “My style is candid, fun and natural with elements of editorial. I encourage you and your guests to just be yourselves and live in the moment, forget you’ve even hired a photographer,” she adds. She further elevates the experience by advising the couple on their dress and theme. “I understand planning weddings can be stressful, so I’m only a call and message away to ensure everything is running smoothly.”

God is in the details

Amani documents the mood and big-small moments of each wedding in a heartfelt, poetic manner to create images that are classic and cinematic. She is known for documenting every precious element and emotion by providing direction to her couples and giving them a boost of confidence to feel comfortable in front of the camera. “I personally know how much goes into a wedding; most brides design and whittle down the specifics of every aspect of their special day; and it’s my responsibility to capture not just their outfit but right down to the intricate embroidery and embellishments along with the shared and intimate moments to allow my couples to be transported back to their event whenever they look at one of my photos.”

No stress zone

From the very first meeting to finesse situations, Amani’s main priority is to ensure the couple is comfortable with her and the camera, “because being yourself is what makes the photos authentic. I need you to be entirely in the moment, living the happiest day of your life in your own world, wrapped up in the moment. The tears. The laughter. The smiles. My number one priority is to capture all of the emotions. I want my photos to tell each individual story and transport my clients back to each and every moment.”

The photographer and the friend

She cultivates comfort with couples by going way beyond her job profile. Amani believes in creating bonds that go way beyond the big day. This also translates in the images. “I’m not just your photographer—I’m your friend, your agony aunt, bridesmaid, therapist and your wedding guide. Once I’ve received an enquiry, I have a phone conversation with you to go through details of your events and make sure I’m the perfect photographer for you. I also put together a guide for couples to plan their day, from creating an itinerary to bridal prep tips.”

Let there be light

Amani is a natural light photographer, who beautifully plays on light and shadow to create that “old meets new aesthetic, vintage but regal imagery, with the goal of putting my couples centre stage. Lighting is a fundamental part of my storytelling. I will always choose lighting over location, allowing me to capture stylized and candid shots in all its glory.”

The best wedding visuals are ones that transport you to a place and a person. That is exactly what Amani Ali strives with her storytelling. Think photographs that don’t just document the wedding day but capture love, laughter and the beginning of your happily ever after that deserves to be told beautifully.
